September is finally here which means pumpkin spiced everything is right around the corner. Everyone knows September is a big fashion month with New York Fashion Week starting September 8 through September 15. New trends and styles mean lots of shopping all month long and Labor Day weekend always has great sales to kick off the month. Below, I have made a list of fourteen of the biggest sales this weekend. Check them out below. Aerie - Select bras and bralettes are $30 or less. American Eagle - Take 60% off clearance in-stores and online. Ann Taylor - Take 40% off sale items in-stores and online. Anthropologie - Take an extra 25% off sale items. Banana Republic - Take 40% off items using the code FALL40. Express - 40% off everything. Free People - Enjoy 30% off fall shoes. Forever 21 - Get 20% off the end of the season sale. Gap - Take 35% off your purchase using the code HAPPY. Ulta - 20% off your entire purchase this weekend with Ulta Rewards coupon. September 4 also begins Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty. Each day through the 24, Ulta will have beauty steals up to 50% off. This is one of my favorite beauty shopping events of the year. Check out the entire list of beauty steals here. I suggest making a note of the date and the beauty steals you want because they do sell out fast.
I will be spending my Labor Day weekend relaxing inside due to my excessive traveling all throughout August. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend. Please keep us Floridians in your thoughts this weekend with the hurricane approaching. Have a fabuless day!

Have you ever been looking at a rack of clothes when someone comes right up next to you trying to look at the same things? Or maybe you decided to put something back when checking out because you really don't need it and you can hear the person behind you sighing. I am going to try my best to keep this from turning into a rant, but shopping etiquette needs to be addressed. 1. Give people their space - I get so frustrated when I am looking at something and someone comes up and starts looking at the same thing. Give me the courtesy of looking at the rack of clothes that I am going through and when I am done, you may look, and vice versa. Whatever happened to the world of sharing. There is nothing worst than someone breathing down your neck when you're deciding if you want to purchase something.
2. Let people take their time - Checking out at a store can be a stressful process. You have to consider the total price of your purchase, return policies, etc., I try to be certain about everything that I am purchasing before I get in line, but sometimes you change your mind. THAT'S OKAY! I was checking out once and everything was getting pricey because of taxes and I decided I needed to put a few things back. The cashier was more than helpful and very polite. The woman behind me says, "You should have had all of this planned out, you're wasting my time." I'm sorry Miss but your time is no more valuable than mine or the cashier's or any of the hundred other people in the store. Thank you for making me, the cashier and everyone else uncomfortable and for making yourself look like a fool. Whether you are waiting for someone to finish looking at something or waiting in line, just remember to be patient. Do you have any advice for shopping etiquette? Leave me a comment in the section below. This is some shopping advice that I have no shame in admitting. Using coupons should be a proud thing not an embarrassing thing. I am not sure why people are embarrassed to ask for discounts or use coupons. I love when I receive e-mail, mail or even magazine coupons.
My favorite are "No Purchase Required" coupons. Stores will send "Free Panty, No Purchase Required" or I recently received "Free Hairspray, No Purchase Required." I know people feel embarrassed walking into a store, grabbing their free panty and walking to the counter, but they shouldn't. Stores create coupons like those to entice your to purchase something else or to get you in the store. Sometimes they create them to introduce a new product to their customers. Whatever the reason, if you're a strong willed person, you can acquire an entire underwear collection without paying a dime, I have. So my advice to you, when you find a coupon that requires no purchase, walk in there proud, get your free goodie and resist the urge to purchase anything. xoxo, Sierra
Good morning to all! While you are enjoying your morning coffee, I thought I would share some insight on finding some fabu-less finds. Here is my first...
Fabu-Less Shopping Guide 101.
Fitting rooms are your friend - You should always use the fitting rooms and try on the items that you like. You never know how something is going to fit and you don't want to purchase something and get home to find that it doesn't fit or isn't what you thought. Clothing sizes change from store to store and your usual size might be too big or too small. I have also come to find out that while shopping I will pick up something that I think is cute and when it comes to try it on in the fitting room, I'm too lazy to change clothes and try it on. Turns out it wasn't that something I wanted as much as I thought. Use the fitting rooms! They can be your best friend.
Amazing price doesn't mean you should to buy it - Just because something is an amazing price, doesn't necessarily mean you should buy it. Before you decide, make sure it is something that you will actually wear. I have made this mistake many times before. I get caught up in the price and buy things that I would never wear. Even though you find something for an amazing deal, turns out it could be a waste of money sitting in your closet collecting dust. Before you buy it, make sure that it fits you well and you know you will wear it. Double check when purchasing final sale - When you are purchasing something that is final sale, you need to double, triple, quadruple check it since it is not returnable. Sometimes items are on final sale because they are just out of season and sometimes they are final sale because something is wrong. • Check all the buttons and make sure none are missing. • Check all seams and make sure they're aren't any holes. • Glance over the entire item for any stains or discoloration. • Look for any snags in the fabric. • Make sure your item has all attached parts and pieces (belts, straps, etc.)
Say yes to emails - When stores ask you for your email, you should always say yes. Warning: you will get bombarded with emails everyday, but there is a positive. When you opt in for emails, they typically send you alerts on new arrivals, coupons and best of all, private sale events. If you can deal with going through the list of emails each morning, I would definitely suggest signing up for your favorites stores' mailing lists.
Reward programs are a win-win - Reward programs are seriously the greatest thing on Earth. You are rewarded for shopping and then get points for shopping. The more points you get the more discounts you get to shop even more. Some stores even give you dollars off of future purchases based on points (Hint - ULTA). I could go on forever about various reward programs and my personal favorites, but I will save that for another day!
I hope that these help you next time you are out shopping. Comment and let me know anything that helps you get the best experience during shopping. Stay tuned for a post on reward programs in the near future.
xoxo,
